Genesis Foundation, with Drummond’s support, will expand the implementation of the Palabrario&Numerario program to 8 educational establishments in the department of Cesar, with the aim of improving the educational quality of boys and girls through the strengthening of learning abilities, in language and mathematics.
Last 13th of July, Genesis Foundation and Drummond made an event where the principals of each educational establishment, attended with two teachers, one coordinator and a family parent, in order to know all the details and benefits of being part of theprogram.
The purpose of the meeting was to communicate to the assistants about the training and accompaniment that Palabrario&Numerario would give to the teachers of early childhood and elementary school in their classrooms, and the methodologies that will be used in order to improve the student's school
performance.
Also, the principals of the educational establishments signed as protocol act, a commitment letter with the management and development of the program in the next 3 years. The beneficiaries of this implementation reach 5.819 students and 217 teachers.
With the approval, commitment and accompaniment of the Secretary of Education of the department, the program will be implemented in 4 municipalities: La Jagua de Íbirico, Agustín Codazzi, Chiriguaná and El Paso.
The program will be developed over 3 years and has 3 stages of implementation: diagnosis and data collection; training and accompaniment processes.
