In the framework of the strengthening of the quality of education for early childhood in Colombia, our program First Learning Steps has been ensuring significant transformations in the pedagogical spaces through strategies of empowerment in the departments of Boyacá, Nariño, Chocó and Magdalena.
To achive real changes a thorough work of sensibilization and awareness with the organizations has been fundamental. There is not only a transformation of educational environments, the change also affected in a positive way the staff who have appropriated new ways of understanding early education as a possibility to structure their pedagogical practices and enhance the development of children in their early age.
