Empowering Organizations that Serve Early Childhood in Colombia

One hundred percent of the 195 classrooms chosen for the project have been improved! Our program First Learning Steps has been working with the support of the Colombian Institute for Family Welfare to ensure the transformation of pedagogic spaces for children through accompaniment and training strategies in the departments of Boyacá, Nariño, Chocó and Magdalena . To achieve these changes extensive work has been done to create awareness thoughout the educational community.

Besides a transformation of educational environments, staff and team members have also been empowered with new ways of interpreting the early education in order to structure their pedagogical practices and enhance the development of early childhood.
